Meeting Minutes
September 12, 2001 8:00PM
Meeting called to order by Tom Rougeaux.
Paul Perez led the Pledge of Allegiance followed by a moment of
silence in honor of the national tragedy at the WTC and Pentagon.
BUSINESS:
The club started this year's business by circulating a thank you
letter received from Socrates winner, Morris P. Kelly.
A motion was passed to review and start re-negotiating our current
lease with the Walteria Business Men's Club.
Tom Rougeaux presented the Clubs 2001 - 2002 Budget which was
discussed and approved.
Our Fall Golf Outing will take place at Carlton Oaks, October
2nd and 3rd
Bob Almeida and Jon Stott discussed the upcoming Manhattan Beach Fair. A sign up sheet was circulated.
Paul Stemmler agreed to chair the Sept. 26th dinner meeting and
Lee Gustaffson will head up the Oct 24th Membership Night dinner
meeting. Thanks Guys!
Chris Collignon brought up our pending "Sportsman's Club
Shirts" order. It seems that our initial order is about 50%
short of the 40-shirt minimum. A motion was made and passed to
have the club advance order the required minimum with future sales
in mind.
Several guests / prospective new members attended the meeting
as follows:
Jim Weber and Mark Van Norman, guests of George Zettler. Jim
Handsaker guest of Paul Stemmler and Peter Valentin.
A Sportsman's welcome and thank you to all.

Dinner Meeting: Chicken dinner with all the trimmings provided
by Paul Stemmler - GREAT JOB Paul!
Meeting called to order by Tom Rougeaux followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
BUSINESS:
Red Jung will work with Chris Collignon on "Club Shirt"
order. Another order sheet was circulated by Red. If you haven't
yet ordered your "Club Shirt" please contact Red as
he has promised shirt delivery by Thanksgiving.
Tom Rougeaux, Peter Valentin and Dick Rector have met with the Walteria Business Men's Club regarding our lease and are still in negotiations.
Dave Sargent presented a thank you note from Lisa Kemp one of
the 2000 - 2001 scholarship winners.
Geoff Graue confirmed that he would again act as Chairman for
the annual XMAS party, which will be held Dec.13, 2001 at Hess
Park.
Bob Almeida reported on the up coming Manhattan Beach Fair. Every
thing is on track
we could still use a few more volunteers!!!
George Giannioses extended an invitation to come and enjoy the
sights, sounds, food and entertainment of the Annual Greek Festival
starting Friday night, Saturday and Sunday Oct. 5th, 6th and 7th
presented by St. Katherine's Greek Orthodox Church, 722 Knob
Hill, RB.
